A pair of modern Danish lounge chairs by Lawrence Peabody — luxury bouclé lounge chairs hand-built by the artisans at Craft Associates® and offered through The Swanky Abode, our curated home for modern, top-end design. An oak frame is paired with plush white bouclé upholstery for a look that is at once organic, modern, and unmistakably luxurious.
Each chair is handcrafted and upholstered to order in the USA with hand-cut, high-density foam. The hardwood base is built by hand, not machine, and finished to last. This design belongs to the Holiday Series that Lawrence Peabody first drew for Selig in the early 1950s.
"The U.S. would profit by the example of the Danes, whose great work in furniture design is the result of combining proficient craftsmanship, fine design and technical skill. The Danes do more than sell arts and crafts in their distinguished work — they sell Denmark." — Lawrence Peabody, 1957
