The Bali is a modern outdoor lounge chair in solid sapele mahogany, built by hand in Ohio and finished in black. Its low, relaxed silhouette and well-angled back make an organic modern seat for unwinding, indoors or out. Made to order in the United States.

The Bali Collection consists of a 24" side chair, a larger 32" side chair, and loveseat. The Sapele Mahogany wood frame is suitable for outdoor conditions and finished with a commercial grade exterior finish. Finish options include natural, grey-wash, dark walnut, and ebony (shown in this listing). This specific wood species is our outdoor version; please contact for less expensive, indoor options. Performance outdoor fabric is included in the price. Many colors and textures available! Contact us for colors and samples. COM is always an option.

Designer Inspiration: "The Bali Collection was created as a break at the end of the day. Its simple silhouette offers a low and relaxed feel. The back is at a perfect angle for lounging and relaxing but also comfortable and upright enough for a night of conversation. Life is busy and it's important to take time to unwind. The focus of this collection is to do just that - create a space that acts as a refuge from the busyness of the world. I've never been to Bali, but I've heard it's magical; A wonderful blend of culture, people, nature, activities, beautiful weather, and great food and nightlife. I want to recreate that with this Collection. Use it indoor or outdoor. I want this collection to remind you to slow down and enjoy life." -Gretta Jones

The Suelo® Slatted Outdoor Side Chair is a modern luxury lounge chair built for the open air, its slatted solid-mahogany frame hand-finished in a commercial-grade exterior finish. Made to order in Ohio and drawn from the low, unhurried seating of far-off getaways, it pairs a clean modern silhouette with fast-dry cushions wrapped in performance outdoor fabric — a luxurious, weather-ready anchor for a modern patio or covered lounge.

Finish options include natural, grey-wash, dark walnut, and ebony. The cushions are upholstered with a fast dry foam and mesh bottom for longevity in outdoor use. The Suelo® Collection consists of an arm chair, side chair, bench, daybed, loveseat, ottoman, dining chairs - both arm and side, and multiple orientations of sofas/sectionals for indoor or outdoor use. You can get any Suelo® piece in a solid or slatted version. This specific wood species is for outdoor use; other Suelo® listings show our indoor options. Performance outdoor fabric is included in the price. Many colors and textures available! Contact us for colors and samples. COM is always an option.

Designer Inspiration: "The Suelo® Collection was inspired by my love for travel. So many places that inspire me have very minimal furniture, often built-in sofas with big comfy cushions, hammocks, raw natural wood, etc. The feel is low-key, simple, and comfortable. The wood isn't refined, it just IS. Functionality always plays into my designs as well, represented here by lower seating for a more intimate talking or lounging environment, and the platform wood extension detail on the sofa, which makes a great little table for your drink or cell phone. I envision this furniture used for indoor/outdoor spaces or any room that needs some comfort or relief. The Suelo® line reminds me of your own getaway - it has a natural, cool vibe and doesn't take itself too seriously. I imagine the sofa loaded up with pillows and some music playing in the background, of course." -Gretta Jones

Our furniture is solid wood, not veneer, and it requires special care. Please care for it! We recommend outdoor covers when pieces are not being used, especially in extreme weather. Outdoor covers are available through Bertu Home. Customer is responsible for normal care of this product.

shipping

We ship white glove, fully insured, in-home delivery. Essentially, it arrives at your home fully assembled and placed where you want it. From the time of purchase, please allow 6-8 weeks for production. Shipping time varies dependent on location.

This piece ships free in the continental United States!
Price includes FREE white glove shipping. *There may be an additional charge on pieces shipped to the West Coast*

payment

Orders are paid in full at checkout, which commits your piece into production. Because every piece is made to order, 50% of the order is non-refundable.

returns

Because every piece is made to order, we cannot offer general returns — but if there is a fault with your piece, we will put it right. Beyond that, talk to us. We would rather find a way to help someone who trusted us with a commission than point at a policy. Where a return is agreed, return shipping is paid by the customer.
