A low, wide seat rests on a sculptural hardwood base that is shaped and finished by hand — not machine — for a piece that feels grounded, resilient, and quietly luxurious.
Designed by Laura Trenchard to introduce the Catawba Collection, the chair takes its cue from Catawba Island and its dramatic Lake Erie shoreline — vivid winter whites against dark, rocky darks. That contrast lives in the deep graining of the wood and in the chair's confident, versatile stance.
Each Catawba modern lounge chair is made to order in the USA with hand-cut, high-density foam and commercial-grade upholstery. Available in walnut, maple, or oak, with additional exotic woods on request and a full COM fabric program.
