Let Go II, Contemporary Art Painting - 9823

$ 1,250.00

Let Go II, Contemporary Art Painting - 9823

"Let Go II” is a piece of contemporary art inspired by graffiti featuring Jones' unique text previously featured in her portrait art collection. Addison previously utilized text to create texture and depth in her portraits. After realizing the impact of her text, she decided to feature them singularly in a new collection titled ALL CAPS. This piece is created on Unryu handmade paper sourced from Japan and displays a soft & crinkled textural element. As they are handcrafted, each paper is unique and sizes may vary. This piece can be bought as a single piece or as a pair with Let Go I.

“I am someone that needs structure to create. The fundamental structure of the paintings have always started with a portrait. Next, I would add text to created depth. through the response of my clients, I started noticing how impactful the text was on my pieces. This evolved into this graphic, raw, style of art. When thinking about the material I wanted something modern and organic to create a nice juxtaposition.”

This is a hand-signed piece with a certificate of authenticity. Abundant sharing will go to the iiilibervive foundation that helps support local + faire trade designers and artisans.

"Modernism is a movement that began in the late 1800's and ended approximately in the early 1970's. It broke away from the heavily ornate and dark furniture that was typical of the day. According to "Preservation" Magazine, modernists were "intrigued" by the emerging technologies--concrete, glass and steel. The work rejected the ornamentation of Victorian and art nouveau styles. "Their work was both spare (think of Mies, famous dictum "less is more") and lyrical, wrote Supid Bose in the magazine June 2008 issue. "Perhaps above all, they believed in function dictating form"…" - eHow

Look Toward the Light, Street Art Painting - 0523

$ 7,500.00

Look Toward the Light, Street Art Painting - 0523

“Look Toward the Light” is street art featuring Jones' portrait photography taken from a shoot in an old building in Ohio in the middle of its reconstruction. This piece was turned into a a blue and black, street art portrait by using a collage-style layering technique.

"My model Dustin was an invigorating subject to shoot. As hard as he looks on the outside, he’s actually relaxed and funny. He has both masculine and feminine qualities which contributed to me getting a variety of shots with different characteristics, allowing for original and interesting art pieces to form."

Lost Between the Lines, Street Art Painting - 0923

$ 7,500.00

Lost Between the Lines, Street Art Painting - 0923

“Lost Between the Lines” is a street art piece featuring original portrait photography. It’s produced using a collage-style layering technique with etched paint on stretched canvas.

"Bethyie is my muse. We met on happenstance when she wandered into my old abandoned ballroom studio. After working together a few times and creating magic she moved away. This particular image was taken on one of Bethyie's visits home. I picked her up from the airport, and as we were driving home we decided to stop in a parking lot and take some photos. Luckily, I had fabric in my car that we were able to use as a backdrop. It's funny how unplanned shoots turn out to be my favorite."
