These are real tree stumps, so natural movement and cracking are part of their character — no two pieces are exactly alike and sizes may vary slightly. Each is finished with a durable, commercial-grade finish tough enough for spills, kids, and hospitality settings.

Kiln dried. Every log goes through a drying process in our kiln, sometimes for up to a month, brought to a specific moisture level. This helps with major cracking, long-term moisture issues, and bugs.
Eco friendly. To replenish the trees we use, we plant 50+ trees a year and practice salvage logging — sourcing trees that have fallen naturally or been damaged by wind, lightning, flood, or disease. Salvage logging may reduce erosion, lower the intensity of future wildfires, and slow the buildup of pest insects.

Please note: these stumps will age naturally, even more so outdoors and exposed to the elements. Each is a solid log with its own character, so we cannot guarantee the finish won't fade or discolor, as this varies by climate and log.
Important information about our stumps
1. Please unpack your stump immediately and leave it out of any packaging. These are real pieces of wood and need to breathe!
2. For outdoor stumps: though kiln dried and suitable for outdoor use, humidity in different climates can affect the top finish, most often in direct sunlight. Solid wood and the elements are unpredictable. The great thing about these logs is you can always sand them down and refinish.
3. Wood naturally moves. These are solid pieces and are prone to cracking. You may get more or bigger cracks in the first few weeks as the wood acclimates to its new home.
4. These stump tables have nylon glides (feet) underneath to make them easier to move (they are heavy!) and to allow airflow to the wood. Airflow is most effective on hard flooring; on rugs or carpet, check the underside periodically.
