These are handmade from our family to yours. See how we do it here. Our stumps are now kiln dried, which helps with major cracking, moisture, and bugs. Please note: these stumps will age naturally, even more so outdoors and exposed to the elements. Each is a solid log with its own character, so we cannot guarantee the finish won't fade or discolor, as this varies by climate and log.
Important information about our stumps
1. Please unpack your stump immediately and leave it out of any packaging. These are real pieces of wood and need to breathe!
2. For outdoor stumps: though kiln dried and suitable for outdoor use, humidity levels in different climates can affect the top finish, most often in direct sunlight. Solid wood and the elements are unpredictable. The great thing about these logs is you can always sand them down and refinish.
3. Wood naturally moves. These are solid pieces and are prone to cracking. You may get more or bigger cracks in the first few weeks as the wood acclimates to its new home and climate.
4. These stump tables have nylon glides (feet) underneath to make them easier to move (they are heavy!) and to allow airflow to the wood. Airflow is most effective on hard flooring; on rugs or carpet, check the underside periodically.
